They Didn’t Need any Mistletoe
It was supposed to be their another-late-night-talking-date but Jake had to ruin it by tagging along when they were done tying their shoes. Jungwon didn’t mind, but Jay sure as hell did.
Noticing the apparent lines on his forehead, Jungwon chuckled a little. “Hyung, it’s nice going out with him this late, right?” A little teasing won’t hurt, Jungwon thought. His hands are still sealed as tight in Jay’s pocket, soothing the cold he felt on his whole body.
“Yeah, you go hold his hands then.”
The apparent lines became even more noticeable. The man Jungwon thought was immune to jealousy just showed his new side under the raining snow.
Mwah.
Jungwon couldn’t help his smile after giving a light peck on Jay’s freezing cheek. It didn’t take longer than a second for Jay to break his neck just to turn his head and look at Jungwon.
“You’re cute, Babe.”
Jungwon mistook Jay’s rosy cheeks as an effect from being cold, but truth be told, Jay was flustered by the pet name Jungwon gave that he couldn’t do anything other than wait until Jungwon lean in for another kiss.
“What?” Jungwon asked, bewildered by his boyfriend’s reaction.
“What did you call me?”
The boy looked up, tilting his head a little. He knows the power he has on his boyfriend and what it would do to him. “Babe?”
In a spilt motion, Jay pulled Jungwon in for a hug. He cupped his boyfriend’s face with his big hands, lifting his head a little just enough for him to kiss his soft lips.
It wasn’t a hasty kiss where lust escalates quickly, rather it was a slow, long kiss. The type of kiss that is gentle and passionate. Where by the time they pulled away, the Christmas lights started focusing on them. Or maybe it wasn’t the lights, maybe it was the glow they radiated for each other.
Jay flashed his most winning smile. “I love you, Babe.”
It hadn’t been long since they been together and they didn’t need any mistletoe, whatever they’re heading to — unlike the chilly weather — Jungwon knows their love will keep them both warm.
“Merry Christmas to you, too, bitches.” Jake who had walked far, came back with a ball of snow. He threw the snow ball, targeting Jay’s butt — and his anger.
And maybe Santa thought Jake was a good boye because right now he was already running for his life to be far, far from Jay who went to chase after him.
